Third-Party Notices

1. Purpose

This document lists third-party components used by takhiOS and the UIL Platform, with their licences. It is a summary, not the full attribution file. The per-release attribution list is generated from the shipped package set at release time and published with the release.

2. Platform components (author’s own)

The UIL Platform (UIL Installer, UIL VM Manager, UIL Backup, UIL Locker, UIL SecAdvisor, UIL Config tooling) and takhiOS build tooling are the author’s own work and are covered by UIL-Labs-EULA, except where stated otherwise below.

4. GPL compliance commitment

Some components are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), including the Linux kernel, bcachefs, QEMU, Plymouth and parts of Arch Linux. For those components:

  • the complete corresponding source code is made available, including any modifications, via the project’s repositories, the release archive and on request;
  • the GPL rights of recipients are preserved in full;
  • no additional restrictions are imposed on GPL-licensed parts, and nothing in the UIL-Labs-EULA or these notices restricts them;
  • the GPL licence text and notices are included with the components.

5. Arch Linux and upstream

takhiOS is an independent Arch-based distribution and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Arch Linux. Arch Linux, Linux, and other upstream names and marks belong to their respective owners.

6. Reporting a missing notice

If you believe a component or notice is missing, contact contact@uillabs.com so it can be added to the generated list for the next release.
